Kath has contributed to the Sydney photo-2Morning Herald, ABC, Meanjin, The Conversation, The Saturday Paper, Overland, Crikey, Women’s Agenda, Daily Review, Arena Magazine and numerous other publications.

She was the co-ordinating author of the award-winning Out to Eat Sydney series (Lonely Planet), and she has contributed to numerous books and journals, including the lead chapter of #MeToo: Stories from the Australian Movement (Picador), Mediating Memory: Tracing the Limits of Memoir (Routledge), DIY Feminism (Allen & Unwin), Fairfax Media’s Good Food guides, Guide to Aboriginal Australia and the Torres Strait Islands and Out to Eat London. She has worked as a university tutor and researcher, as a media adviser for non-profit organisations and editor of online news sites such as The Hoopla.

She is a board member of the Sydney Writers’ Room, an associate member of the Centre for Media History, and she is currently writing a doctoral thesis (see Kath’s Academia page for scholarly work).
